Abstract

Wrth inni edrych i’r dyfodol, mae defnyddio technoleg er mwyn cyfoethogi’r profiad dysgu yn bwnc o gryn ddiddordeb ar draws yr holl sectorau addysg, yng Nghymru ac yn fyd-eang. Gall hyn olygu ystod o bethau, o ddefnyddio technoleg yn y dosbarth ar un llaw, i greu amgylcheddau dysgu ar-lein lle y mae’r dysgwr yn astudio’n gwbl annibynnol. Bydd y cyflwynydd yn adlewyrchu ar brofiad diweddar o ysgrifennu cwrs gloywi iaith ar-lein ac yn trafod y cyfleoedd a’r rhwystrau a wynebir wrth lunio darpariaeth lle y mae’r dysgu i gyd yn digwydd yn annibynnol ar y we. Yn ystod y cyflwyniad, ystyrir agweddau fel dulliau dysgu, gweithgareddau rhyngweithiol, asesiadau ac adborth. Bydd yr ystyriaethau hyn yn seiliedig ar ymchwil ansoddol a damcaniaethol.

As we look to the future, technology-enhanced learning is becoming an ever-increasing topic of interest across all tiers of education, both nationally and globally. The term is used to refer to a range of learning approaches, from using technology in the classroom to web-based autonomous learning environments. What are the opportunities and pitfalls of the latter? The presenter will reflect on a recent experience of writing an e-learning language course, examining key considerations such as learning styles, interactivity, assessments and feedback. These reflections will be based on qualitative and theoretical research.

Session Outline

Bydd y sesiwn yn edrych ar gwrs iaith ar-lein a luniwyd yn ddiweddar gan y cyflwynydd ar ran y Ganolfan Dysgu Cymraeg Genedlaethol. O fis Medi eleni, bydd y cwrs ar gael am ddim ledled Cymru (ac ar gael felly i fyfyrwyr a staff y brifysgol sy’n medru’r Gymraeg ac yn dymuno gloywi eu hiaith). Trafodir yr egwyddorion allweddol yr oedd angen eu hystyried wrth baratoi’r cwrs hwn. Sut roedd hyn yn wahanol i’r profiad o lunio cwrs traddodiadol a addysgir yn y dosbarth? Beth oedd y cyfleoedd a’r heriau? A oes modd i raglen ddysgu ar-lein ddarparu’r un ansawdd a’r sgiliau â’r ystafell ddosbarth draddodiadol? Bydd y cyflwynydd yn dangos enghreifftiau o’r gweithgareddau a’r asesiadau ar-lein a baratowyd ar gyfer y cwrs, gan ystyried y rhain yng ngoleuni adborth dysgwyr ac ymchwil ddamcaniaethol.

Cynhelir y sesiwn hon trwy gyfrwng y Gymraeg gyda chyfieithu ar y pryd.

The presenter will discuss an online language course she has recently created on behalf of the National Centre for Learning Welsh. From September, the course will be freely available to workplaces across Wales (including Welsh speaking staff and students at Swansea University who wish to practise and perfect their written skills). This session will discuss some of the key principles of writing an online course. How does creating online provision differ from preparing a classroom-based module? What are the opportunities and challenges? Can an e-learning programme really provide the same quality and skills as the traditional classroom? The presenter will show examples of online activities and assessments created as a part of the course and discuss these in the light of learner feedback and theoretical research.

This session will be held through the medium of Welsh with simultaneous translation through headphones.  Please note there may be a limited supply of headphones available depending on delegate numbers.
